Have you ever seen Spaced?  Of course you have.  I love Spaced.  Let’s love Spaced together for a moment.

Ah, that was good.

Anyway, you may recall a scene in the second or third episode –cut me some slack, it’s been a while — where Daisy sits down at her typewriter.  She’s all set up at her table, her glasses are on.  It’s nice and quiet and she’s ready to get to work.  Definitely.

Except she can’t possibly work until they’ve finished unpacking.  They should throw a party.  There’s so many things that have to be done, and she can’t possibly focus until they’re all done.

Andy looks at me very meaningfully whenever this scene is on, and I hate to say that he’s right.  I get very excited to work — at work I’ll jot little notes about what I want to work on once the baby is in bed, what project to tackle.  And I’ll update my blog.

After I check my e-mail.  Catch up on my Reader.  Grab a bite to eat, cruise Facebook, open OpenOffice, close it again, try to find a pen, play some Sims, do some laundry — good Lord, is it 11:30 already?  I need to get to bed!

You get the idea.

So I’m going to try to get a handle on that this month.  I need to focus more.

After I work on my website.
